Solo project for my appartement in june 2016,
apartment no. 6, Hermanova 847/53, 170 00 Praha

«SICK OF BEING HUMAN, BECOME A PLANET, JUST SEND PLANET TO 91212, P L A N E T TO 91212»
“Maureen Morin invites you” is a performance for a
limited audience (15 maximum), one actress and two assistants. The first
performance was created for the apartment no. 6, Hermanova 847/53, 170 00
Praha 7-Holešovice.
Inspired by the poem “May” of Karel Hynek Mácha, it is a science-fiction: nature has been banned from public and private spaces, where it is illegal to possess any form of fauna or flora.
The audience is moved around the whole apartment by the characters. Each room has a specific atmosphere and a role in the story.
I’m performing and writing about our generation and the environmental crisis we are living in. I want us to think about this absurd reality which is our time and that we are slowly accepting as normal, even if it’s destroying us.

We hear a noise, in the other room, another Maureen Morin appears, with a strong French accent. «Do you like nature, can I trust you?». She brings them into her room. She is an artist, she is mystical. She is connected to Planet May, she paints the apocalypse. She also has an illegal greenhouse. The «designer» Maureen comes in, «What are we going to do with you?», the audience and the Maureens are all in the same mess: the illegal plants Who can we trust? Who are we?
In a world of virtual identities, who really cares about me? I have millions of followers but who really gives a shit about my shoes and the food I eat? Love is the way to be loved, a wedding in Cuba, the perfect scenery.
Maureen brings the audience in the laboratory space, where the telescope in installed. We can see May. In the stairs, the audience sits. Maureen talks about the revolution on a destruction soundtrack.
«The queen of spades, is a trick taking game, where the players avoid the Queen to win. She’s isolated and alone»
